How to Unlock Account & Reset Employee Password
This article will guide you on how to unlock employee account and reset the password.
Part 1: Unlock Employee Account
1. Go to Menu > Users > Employee
2. Edit Employee
3. Unlock User Account

Part 2: Reset Employee Password
Option 1: Reset Password as an Employee
1. Navigate to app.techpos.ca
2. Click on Forgot Password
3. Enter your login Email

4. Then you will receive an email with a temporary password that can be used.
5. To change your password, go to Settings > Change Password.


Option 2: Reset Employee Passwords as the Store Owner/Executive Team Role
1. Go to Menu > Users > Employee
2. Click on the Edit Button
3. Click on Reset Password

4. Set the New Password for the employee, or send a temporary password to employee's email.

- The Reset Password option on the Employee List page is exclusively available to users with the Owner role. If an employee works at multiple store locations, the Owner can only reset their password if they hold ownership over all the stores associated with that employee. In situations where the Owner does not have full ownership across every relevant store, they will not have direct access to reset the employee’s password. In these cases, the employee must use the email-based password reset process to regain access.
