As part of the February 2026 release, we’ve introduced a new configuration setting for Points Redemption. You can now control whether customers earn points on orders where they redeem points.

As part of the February 2026 release, we’ve introduced a new configuration setting for Points Redemption.
You can now control whether customers earn points on orders where they redeem points.
This setting allows businesses to either:
Allow points accumulation during redemption or
Disable points accumulation when points are redeemed
Navigation
Menu > Admin > Settings > Disable Points to be Earned on Redemption
What’s New
A new toggle has been added in system settings:
Disable Points to be Earned on Redemption
When enabled:
Customers will not earn additional points on orders where points are redeemed.
When disabled:
Customers can earn points even if they redeem points on the same transaction.
Why This Matters
This enhancement provides flexibility for different loyalty program strategies.
It allows businesses to:
Prevent double-dipping scenarios
Maintain tighter control over loyalty costs
Customize reward behavior based on company policy
Align loyalty rules with promotional strategies
Example Scenarios
Scenario 1 – Enabled
Customer redeems points, and no additional points are accumulated for that order.
Scenario 2 – Disabled
Customer redeems 500 points and still earns points on the remaining balance paid.
