Sales by Brand Report

The Sales by Brand report provides a summary of net sales grouped by product brand for a selected date range and branch. This report helps retailers analyze brand performance, identify top‑selling brands, and evaluate sales contribution across licensed producers.

Overview

The Sales by Brand report provides a summary of net sales grouped by product brand for a selected date range and branch. This report helps retailers analyze brand performance, identify top‑selling brands, and evaluate sales contribution across licensed producers.

Report Purpose

Use this report to:

  • Track total sales by brand over a specific period

  • Compare brand performance within a single branch

  • Export brand‑level sales data for further analysis or reconciliation

Report Filters

At the top of the report, the following filters are available:

Date Range

  • Begin Date: Start date for the sales data

  • End Date: End date for the sales data

Only completed sales within this range are included.

Branch

  • Select the store location (branch) for which you want to generate the report.

  • The report will only reflect sales from the selected branch.

Important Notes

Note: Only completed sold products’ net sales value are counted in this report. Products without a licensed producer assigned will not be included.

This ensures the report reflects compliant, finalized transactions only.

Report Output

Once the filters are applied and the report is generated, results are displayed as a list of brands with their corresponding total sales.

Displayed Columns

  • Brand: The product brand name

  • Total Sales: The total net sales amount generated by that brand within the selected date range

The report header also displays the selected date range for reference.

Actions

View Report

  • Click View Report to generate and display the sales results on screen based on the selected filters.

Download CSV

  • Click Download CSV to export the report data.

  • The CSV file includes the same brand‑level sales information shown in the report, allowing for:

    • Further analysis in Excel or Google Sheets

    • Sharing with management or vendors

    • Record‑keeping and auditing

CSV Export Details

The exported CSV file contains brand‑level sales totals for the selected branch and date range. Values represent net sales from completed transactions only and exclude products without licensed producers.

Common Use Cases

  • Reviewing top‑performing brands

  • Identifying underperforming brands

  • Supporting purchasing and inventory decisions

  • Providing sales summaries to vendors or licensed producers

Limitations

  • Does not include incomplete, voided, or refunded transactions

  • Does not include products missing licensed producer information

  • Report data is limited to the selected branch
