Setting Up E-Commerce Delivery

In this section, we will guide you through the various delivery settings available for the TechPOS E-Commerce Shopping Cart.

Navigation Steps: Go to Menu > Web Menu > UI Settings > Delivery. 

Basic Delivery Setting

Basic Settings Definition: 

  1. Enable Delivery to Home - simply tick the box to turn on the delivery feature.
  2. Max Delivery by Radius (km) - this indicates the furthest distance you can deliver in kilometers.
  3. Basic Delivery Cost ($) - this refers to the standard delivery fee.
  4. Delivery Minimum Amount Threshold ($) - this is the minimum order amount required for delivery.

Advanced Delivery Settings

Advanced Settings Definition: 

  1. Base Charge Delivery: Minimum Order Amount($) - This is the smallest order amount that qualifies for a base delivery charge (settings below).
  2. Base Charge Delivery: Maximum Distance(km) - This is the starting point for calculating the cost and distance steps for delivery.
  3. Delivery Cost Step ($) - The fee charged for each exceeded delivery distance step.
  4. Delivery Distance Step (km) - The distance tied to each delivery cost step.
  5. Delivery Supplementary Text - A message that displays during delivery checkout.
  6. Delivery Order Email Text - The message that customers receive in their email when a delivery order is placed.
  7. Delivery Start Time - The time when delivery becomes available.
  8. Delivery End Time - The time when delivery stops being available.

Examples

The following settings are set up: 

Base Delivery Cost ($) - $5

Distance(km) Maximum for Base Charge Delivery – 15km

Delivery Cost Step ($) - 1km

Delivery Distance Step (km) - 1km

Test Scenarios with the settings above:

Example 1: 2.2km distance - $5 Delivery Fee

Example 2: 5.5km distance - $6 Delivery Fee

Example 3: 6.3km distance - $7 Delivery Fee
